Halloween is the day everyone lets their hair down to look as ugly and as frightening as possible. This is the day people love dressing up as zombies, witches and ghosts, instead of dressing up to look as beautiful as possible.
There are many options for you to choose from for Halloween. However the most common and classical option is to dress up as a ghost. All you have to do is to stitch the sides of a bed sheet, cut out holes for your eyes and pull it over your head. Voila! You are now transformed into a ghost.
There are better options for you to consider to give a much better scare to people. All you have to do is to walk down to the costume rental store, and pick out the right costume. Choices are to dress up as a witch with a broom, a zombie or perhaps as a skeleton with luminous bones.
The main intention of dressing up during Halloween is to look as frightening as possible; which is not accomplished just by wearing a horrifying costume. With the costume, you have to wear an effective mask, and the latest silicon masks are just what you are looking for.
With these masks there is no need of any additional make up as you look the perfect zombie in them. This is because these silicon masks have a very close resemblance to human flesh to make the costume very realistic.
Dressing up for Halloween is something both adults and kids love doing. Though adults like dressing up as witches, zombies and ghouls, kids love dressing up as their favorite characters from TV shows and film stars. As the kid grows older, their costume tends to grow gorier and gorier.
However whatever the costume you choose for your Halloween, as long as it is gory and you carry the spirit of Halloween it will be a successful costume.

Sexy costumes are no longer confined for use only in the bedroom. They are used extensively today to add some excitement to an otherwise lifeless party. There is a large selection of sexy costumes for you to wear as different characters to show off at a party.
You could wear a sexy hero costume and attend the party as Cat Woman, including a sexy tight leather outfit and long, thigh-high leather boots. Or you could go as fantasy woman using sexy costumes, or as a cowgirl, cheerleader, jungle woman or even try out dressing up as a pirate wench.
The choice is limitless; all you need is a little creativity, and with a sexy short skirt and a pair of high heels, you will be able to create some sex appeal in the costumes you wear. With the right creativity, you could transform yourself into a sexy Snow White or Cinderella or perhaps Miss Muffet. Just use your imagination and a few accessories to create the effect you are looking for.
In a sexy costume, you may not act like an angel. However you could consider dressing up as an angel or a fairy, with the help of some wings. Any piece of sexy lingerie looks cuter and has a much better sex appeal on you once you add some wings and a halo to your costume.
Apart from all these ideas, there are some others that just seem to pop into the mind when you think of sexy costumes, which include naughty nurses and frisky French maids. Even anyone in a uniform can look sexy once their hair is let down and you just use your imagination to change your poise, walk and dressing sense into a more sexy person.
Basically, there are no limits to the types of sexy costumes you can choose and use for party. In fact, the only limitations you may face may be from your own taste, restrictions and budget. Keep your comfort and personal taste in mind when choosing these costumes for something sexy to wear not only in your bedroom, but also to a party.

Everyone loves Halloween. Dressing up in costume can be fun at any time of year. Here are some ideas for costume parties year-round.
A costume wedding reception can make a special occasion memorable for everyone. Consider having a standard wedding ceremony with a costume reception. Provide an assortment of wigs, masks and basic costumes for those who don’t quite believe invitation. Some people who have attended costume receptions have called them the best weddings they have ever attended.
Valentine’s Day is a great excuse for a romantic couples costume party. Guests can attend as great romantic couples, such as Romeo and Juliet or they can be a bit bawdy, such as an electric outlet and plug.
The summer solstice can be marked with a “pagan party”. Guests can dress as hippies, druids, gypsies, witches and other spiritual characters.
Patriot parties can be used to mark national holidays. Dress up as someone in the armed forces, Uncle Sam, the Statue of Liberty, Betsy Ross or other patriotic characters.
Many people have the makings of Christmas costumes. They would appreciate an excuse to wear their Santa or Mrs. Claus costumes an additional time. Guests could also arrive as angels, elves, Magi, Christmas trees, reindeer etc.
The Oscar (movies), Emmy (television), Tony (theatre) and Grammy (music) are fun times to host a costume party. Guests should wear costumes related to the field being honored.
Likewise, the Super Bowl, the World Series, the Stanley Cup Finals and NBA championships can be more fun to watch if everyone wears sports related costumes.
Costume parties are not just for Halloween. Put on a costume and any event automatically becomes more fun and memorable.

One of the best parts of Halloween costumes is to reuse the parts into a whole new costume the following year. Here are some ideas to get started.
A “Men-in-Black” suit and shades can be used for a Secret Service agent, James Bond or the political figure of the day.
Combine the hat and boots from a Zorro costume, add whiskers and a tail and become “Puss in Boots”.
Use a wig from your B-52s costume and go as Edna or Tracy Turnblad from “Hairspray”.
The dreadlock wig from a reggae costume can be used in a Whoopi Goldberg costume this year.
Any costume from last year can be hilariously refreshed by changing genders: A female Jack Sparrow, a male Lucy. This can be even more fun if a significant other takes the other role.
A food or animal costume can be repurposed by adding one or two new accessories to make it brand new. For example, staple or pin some fake money to a bovine costume to become “a cash cow”.
Wear last year’s hamburger, cupcake or other food costume but staple some candy wrappers and other clean pieces of trash to become junk food.
Add a halo and wings to a horror mask and become a “holy terror”. Wear a ballet dancer costume but add skates, a club and a hubcap to become skater-turned-bad girl Tanya Harding.
If there is a Santa costume lying around, use the wig and beard to become Gandalf from “The Lord of the Rings” by adding a bathrobe and a staff. Likewise, use the hat from any witch costume to become any “Harry Potter” character.
Of course, adding devil’s horns to any mask of a current political figure is bound to be a hit.
These are just a few ideas for reusing Halloween costume accessories. What other ideas are there?

The secret to Halloween costume success is in the details. Accessories can make or break a costume. Here are some tips.
First of all, plan the costume carefully before purchasing anything. If the costume is only going to be worn during trick-or-treat, any props should be lightweight and inexpensive. Don’t get the most expensive light saber for Darth Vader because chances are it will be lost or broken by the end of the night. However, do choose one that gives off enough light for security.
If the costume will be worn at a party, choose the best props to carry off the illusion. Indiana Jones won’t look quite as authentic if the fedora is too small. Zorro won’t look quite right without black boots. A mad scientist needs some bubbling test tubes and a fright wig.
Get the costume early enough to allow time for a rehearsal. Applying green makeup may take longer than expected, so try it once first before the big night. Learn how to apply it and remove it. Figure out how to walk in a hoop skirt or high heels. Make sure all hair is tucked into a wig.
Learn some tricks or mannerisms to go with the costume. Practice with the bull-whip, Indiana Jones. Mimes should learn how to do the invisible box illusion. The Wicked Witch of the West should learn to screech, “I’ll get you my pretty – and your little dog too!” Jack Sparrow or Zorro should learn to wield a sword safely. Elvis should practice “the lip” while a clown or magician should learn at least one trick.
Halloween is one time when it is definitely worth it to sweat the small stuff. Use the right accessories for a successful costume.

Halloween is great fun – even more so when it’s a group endeavor. Here are some possibilities for group costumes.
One easy group costume idea is the secret service. Select one person to be the president or some other VIP, and then dress the rest in matching suits and shades. Follow the VIP everywhere. When nature calls, have one or two act as an advance team, then everyone guards the doors until the VIP is ready.
Families can have a lot of fun with matching bunny costumes. Or, dress as a favorite television sitcom family. Anything goes, from the Simpsons to All in the Family to the Brady Bunch. Dressing as cast members of favorite movie series always works. Try Harry Potter costumes, for example.
If it is a group of four people, it could be fun to go as “The Fruit of the Loom Guys”: One person dresses as a bunch of purple grapes, one as a bunch of green grapes, one as an apple and one as a leaf. Or, go as a fruit salad and add a banana, a pineapple or some other fruit.
Another clever group idea is to go as dinner: Each person can pick a different course of a formal meal or go as a fast food dinner: hamburger, fries and a soft drink.
With the popularity of Rock Band and similar video games, it could be fun to dress up as an existing or a generic rock band. Just be sure everyone dresses in the same style: 50s, 80s, punk, doo-wop or country.
One popular idea that always works is a briefcase drill team. Have everyone dress in matching suits and carry a briefcase and a cell phone. March in formation and work out a quick routine. It’s always a hit.
These are just a few group costume ideas. Use your imagination and be the hit of this year’s party.

Everyone loves a Halloween party. It’s even more fun if there is a theme. Here are ten party themes to consider
1. Television shows. Either have a generic television show theme or make it decade or genre specific, such as ’80s television shows or sit-coms. Have trivia contests about shows that fit the category. Or, use movies, such as Harry Potter, Star Wars or super heroes.
2. The circus. This is a great idea for kids. Have them dress as favorite circus performers. Lead a grand march around the party space.
3. Famous pairs. Have couples dress as famous teams: anything from Napoleon and Josephine to Gomez and Morticia Addams to bacon and eggs. Have each member of the pair enter separately and conduct a match-up game.
4. Sports. Guests can attend dressed for their favorite sport, from hunting to football to gymnastics. Have video game versions of favorite sports on hand.
5. Opposites. An alternative to the famous pair’s game above. Have couples dress as opposites, for example, devil and angel, a healthy fruit and a cupcake, a police officer and a convict. Again, play a match-up game.
6. Murder mystery. Turn the costume party into a full-blown murder mystery event. There are many pre-packaged games set. Simply ask all attendees to dress to fit the era: ’30s gangster, Victorian, Western.
7. Ethnic. This is a great idea for school groups. Have students dress in their ethnic background. Ask them to bring a food or a music CD from their culture.
8. Monsters only. Many people like Halloween specifically for the scare factor. Ask that all invitees dress as ghosts, goblins, witches or other scary creatures. Set up a haunted house or a haunted room
9. Renaissance. Renaissance festivals are always popular. Many people would appreciate being able to wear their medieval garb more than once a year. Renaissance garb is great because it can be as romantic or as gothic as the wearer prefers.
10. Favorite food. Attendees can be grapes, French fries, milk shakes, even pizza. Make a game of creating “meal” groups.
These are just a few Halloween party themes to try. Try one and have a great time.

Some people hesitate to buy a full Halloween costume because of cost. It may seem extravagant to spend a lot of money for something that is worn one night. Relax. Here are some ideas for reusing a costume the rest of the year.
First of all, always buy a costume with a view toward using the parts for other costumes in the future. A Star Wars clone trooper costume can always be reused as a super hero costume by changing the helmet. Princess Leia’s white dress can be used as a generic queen’s dress while her distinctive “cinnamon roll” wig can be used in a Heidi costume.
A Halloween costume can be a fun way to recognize someone’s birthday. Show up at the workplace dressed as the honoree’s favorite character or even as a clown. A costume can also be used in company promotions. Have a costumed employee wave potential customers into the business.
Using a Halloween costume can be used for a unique proposal. Imagine popping the question while dressed as “Bond – James Bond” or as the Phantom of the Opera. Or, get a friend to wear the costume as part of the presentation.
Of course, all children love to play dress up and would have a great time wearing an adult-sized costume.
A Halloween costume can become the basis of a volunteer opportunity. Check with local hospitals to see if they would welcome a costumed volunteer to greet patients, especially children, either in their rooms or in the waiting room. The idea may also be welcome at soup kitchens.
See? Costumes don’t have to sit in a drawer. Find ways to use costumes the rest of the year.

Hosting a Halloween or costume party is fun. If guests have gone to the trouble of getting great costumes, a good host needs to come up with some great party games. Here are some ideas to get the creative juices flowing.
A ghoulish grab bag is always fun. Fill a box with cooked spaghetti and gummy worms. Tuck a small skeleton or a rubber mouse. Pass this around to blindfolded guests to see who guesses the items first.
Set up a haunted room, house or trail. There are many websites that give easy directions for doing so.
Play the classic game of charades. This is much harder when everyone is in costume. It can also be hilarious to watch Darth Vader give the clues to “Dancing Queen” or Snow White act out the Incredible Hulk. A variation of charades is to pin the clue to someone’s back and have them guess what it is. He or she can ask other attendees questions with yes or no answers in order to find out.
No costume party would be complete without a costume contest. Give prizes for best, worst and most original. Consider a prize for the person whose costume is the biggest departure from his or her personality.
For smaller parties, try creating a story. Start with a phrase, such as the classic, “It was a dark and stormy night.” Write it on a piece of paper. Give each person a pen and a piece of paper for them to write one sentence. Collect the papers and read them out loud for a very original story.
Stuff a scarecrow. Provide old clothing, newspaper or hay and other items. Divide attendees into teams and race to build a scarecrow. Each person on the team performs one part, such as stuffing one pant leg etc.
With games like these, Halloween fun doesn’t have to end with the costume.

Kids love Halloween. Here are the hottest children’s Halloween costumes
For girls, Hannah Montana rules. Little teeny boppers love to dress like a pop star, with all the bling that goes with it. The best part is that this is a comfortable costume that can be worn almost anywhere, anytime.
Little girls will always love being a princess. Disney princesses are the perennial favorite because they point out that girls are beautiful with any skin tone and hair color.
One non-Disney princess that is very popular is Princess Leia (and her mother Queen Amidala) of Star Wars fame. Little girls like these ladies because they can be beautiful yet still wield a light-saber. Similarly, Elizabeth Swan of Pirates of the Caribbean is also a popular choice.
Dora the Explorer and Gabriella and Shar-Pay from High School Musical are also fun dress-up choices for girls.
Meanwhile, guys too enjoy anything from Pirates of the Caribbean and Star Wars. Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader will always been popular. Thanks to a new movie earlier this year, Indiana Jones is making a comeback too. But this year top honors go to Batman and the Joker.
Soldiers and sailors are also popular this year as touching tributes to friends and family members in the armed forces.
Video game characters are also popular among the guys: Pokémon and his friends, Link and Mario are hot picks this year. Going on from this, rock stars real and fake are popular, thanks to Guitar Hero and similar games.
For the littlest trick-or-treaters, there are many popular choices: bunnies, lady bugs and pumpkins are always a hit. No matter what they wear, babies always look great on their first Halloween.
These are the hottest kid costumes for Halloween. The hard part will be choosing one.
